2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect the following categories of personal information from users:

2.1 INFORMATION PROVIDED BY YOU

From General Users:

(a) Full name
(b) Email address (permanent — cannot be changed)
(c) Mobile phone number (permanent — cannot be changed)
(d) Profile photograph
(e) Resume / Bio-data (PDF or accepted formats)
(f) Educational qualifications, work experience, and skills
(g) Job preferences and career information

From Business Users:

(a) Company / organization name
(b) Authorized representative's name
(c) Business email address (permanent — cannot be changed)
(d) Business phone number (permanent — cannot be changed)
(e) Business address and location
(f) Industry type and company description
(g) Job listings and recruitment data

2.2 INFORMATION COLLECTED AUTOMATICALLY

When you use the Platform, we may automatically collect:

(a) IP address and approximate geographic location
(b) Browser type, version, and operating system
(c) Device type and device identifiers
(d) Pages visited, links clicked, and time spent on the Platform
(e) Referral source (how you arrived at the Platform)
(f) Date and time of access
(g) Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 9)

2.3 INFORMATION FROM THIRD PARTIES

We may receive information about you from third parties, such as social login providers (e.g., Google or LinkedIn, if enabled) or identity verification services, subject to your consent where applicable.

3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

(a) ACCOUNT CREATION AND MANAGEMENT

To register and maintain your account, verify your identity, and provide access to Platform features.

(b) JOB MATCHING AND RECRUITMENT

To display relevant job listings to General Users and to present suitable applicant profiles to Business Users.

(c) SHARING WITH BUSINESS USERS UPON APPLICATION

When a General User applies for a job, their Resume, profile photo, and contact details are shared with the relevant Business User. If the General User subsequently updates their profile or CV, such updates are automatically reflected in all previously submitted applications.

(d) COMMUNICATION AND ALERTS

To send you the following types of communications via email, SMS, or push notifications:

Job application status updates
New job alerts based on your profile and preferences
Platform announcements and service updates
Promotional notifications about DistrictWork features and offers

You may opt out of promotional communications at any time (see Section 7). However, transactional communications related to your account and active applications are essential and cannot be opted out of while your account is active.

(e) PLATFORM IMPROVEMENT

To analyze usage patterns, diagnose technical issues, and improve the performance, features, and user experience of the Platform.

(f) SAFETY, FRAUD PREVENTION, AND ENFORCEMENT

To detect and prevent fraudulent activity, abuse, and violations of our Terms and Conditions.

(g) LEGAL AND REGULATORY COMPLIANCE

To comply with applicable Indian laws, regulations, court orders, or lawful government requests.

4. DATA SHARING AND DISCLOSURE

4.1 WITH BUSINESS USERS

When a General User applies for a job on the Platform, the following data is shared with the respective Business User:

Resume / Bio-data
Profile photograph
Contact details (email and/or phone number)
Any additional profile information shared at the time of application

Business Users may export this applicant data for internal shortlisting and recruitment purposes only. They are prohibited from using this data for any promotional, marketing, or advertising activities. Violations may result in a permanent ban. (See Terms and Conditions, Section 6.)

4.2 WITH SERVICE PROVIDERS

We may share your data with trusted third-party service providers who assist in operating the Platform, including:

Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers (e.g., MilesWeb)
Email and SMS delivery services
Analytics and performance monitoring tools
Customer support tools

These providers are contractually bound to process your data only as directed by us and in compliance with applicable privacy laws.

4.3 LEGAL DISCLOSURE

We may disclose your personal data when required to do so by law, or in good faith belief that such disclosure is necessary to:

4.4 BUSINESS TRANSFERS

5.1 DATA LOCATION

All user data collected and processed through DistrictWork is stored on servers located in India. Our primary hosting partner is MilesWeb, an Indian web hosting and cloud service provider. Data may also be stored with authorized infrastructure partners operating within India.

5.2 DATA SECURITY MEASURES

We implement reasonable technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These include:

(a) Encryption of sensitive data in transit (SSL/TLS)
(b) Restricted access controls to user data within our organization
(c) Regular security assessments and monitoring
(d) Secure storage of uploaded CV and profile documents

5.3 NO ABSOLUTE GUARANTEE

While we strive to protect your personal data, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify affected users in accordance with applicable law.

5.4 CV AND DOCUMENT STORAGE

CVs and resumes uploaded to the Platform are stored on our servers and shared with Business Users only when you submit a job application. These documents are retained as long as your account is active or as required for legal and operational purposes.

6. DATA RETENTION

6.1 We retain your personal data for as long as your account remains active

on the Platform or as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, including legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.

6.2 Upon account deletion or upon your request for data removal:

(a) Your profile and publicly visible information will be removed.
(b) CV and uploaded documents will be deleted from our active servers.
(c) Certain records (e.g., application history, communication logs) may

be retained for up to [INSERT PERIOD, e.g., 3 years] for compliance and dispute resolution purposes.

6.3 Data already exported or accessed by a Business User before account

deletion may still be retained by that Business User. DistrictWork is not responsible for data already shared prior to deletion.

7. YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES

Subject to applicable Indian laws, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and its applicable provisions, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

(a) RIGHT TO ACCESS

You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.

(b) RIGHT TO CORRECTION

You may request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data. Note: Email address, phone number, and account role cannot be changed under any circumstances per our platform policy.

(c) RIGHT TO DELETION ("RIGHT TO BE FORGOTTEN")

You may request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal obligations and operational requirements. See Section 6 for details.

(d) RIGHT TO WITHDRAW CONSENT

Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time. This will not affect the lawfulness of processing prior to withdrawal.

(e) OPT-OUT OF PROMOTIONAL COMMUNICATIONS

You may opt out of receiving promotional emails and SMS alerts by:

Note: Even after opting out of promotions, you will continue to receive essential account and application-related communications.
