PLEASE READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING DISTRICTWORK. BY ACCESSING OR USING OUR PLATFORM, YOU CONFIRM THAT YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD, AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE, PLEASE DO NOT USE THE PLATFORM.
1. ABOUT DISTRICTWORK
DistrictWork ("we," "us," "our," or "the Platform") is an online employment and recruitment platform accessible at www.districtwork.com. It serves as a digital bridge between job seekers (General Users) and employers or recruiters (Business Users), facilitating the discovery of employment opportunities and the hiring process.
DistrictWork operates solely as a communication and intermediary channel. We do not act as an employer, staffing agency, or placement service, and we are not a party to any employment agreement, contract, or financial arrangement between users and businesses.
2. DEFINITIONS
For the purpose of these Terms and Conditions:
"Platform" — Refers to the DistrictWork website, services, tools, and all associated features available at www.districtwork.com.
"General User" — An individual who registers on the Platform to search for jobs, apply to job postings, and manage their professional profile.
"Business User" — A company, organization, recruiter, or employer that registers on the Platform to post job listings and manage recruitment activities.
"User" / "You" — Any registered person or entity accessing or using the Platform, whether as a General User or Business User.
"Account" — A registered profile created by a User on the Platform.
"Resume" — A document (in PDF or other accepted format) uploaded by a General User to present their professional qualifications.
"Job Application" — The act of a General User applying to a job posting published by a Business User on the Platform.
3. ELIGIBILITY
3.1 You must be at least 18 years of age to register and use the Platform.
By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
3.2 If you are registering on behalf of a company, organization, or business
entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
3.3 DistrictWork reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or terminate access
to any user who does not meet the eligibility criteria or who violates these Terms.
4. ACCOUNT REGISTRATION AND TYPES
4.1 ACCOUNT ROLES
At the time of registration, users must select one of the following account roles:
4.2 ROLE IS PERMANENT
The account role selected at the time of registration is PERMANENT and CANNOT be changed after account creation. A Business User account cannot be converted into a General User account, and vice versa. If you require a different role, you must create a separate, new account.
4.3 LOCKED ACCOUNT IDENTIFIERS
The following details are locked upon account creation and CANNOT be modified at any time:
These identifiers are used for account verification, communication, and security purposes. Please ensure you use accurate information at the time of registration.
4.4 ACCOUNT SECURITY
You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials (username and password). You must notify us immediately at support@districtwork.com if you suspect any unauthorized access to your account. DistrictWork is not liable for any loss or damage resulting from your failure to protect your login credentials.
4.5 ACCURACY OF INFORMATION
You agree to provide accurate, truthful, and complete information when creating your account and at all times thereafter. Providing false, misleading, or fraudulent information is a violation of these Terms and may result in the immediate suspension or permanent termination of your account.
4.6 ONE ACCOUNT PER USER
Each individual or business entity is permitted to maintain only one active account per role type. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent a suspension or ban is strictly prohibited.
5. JOB APPLICATIONS AND DATA SHARING
5.1 APPLICATION PROCESS
General Users may apply to job postings listed on the Platform by Business Users. When a General User submits a job application, the following information is automatically shared with the relevant Business User:
5.2 AUTOMATIC UPDATE OF APPLICATION DATA
If a General User modifies their profile information, contact details, or uploads a new or updated Resume after having already applied for a job, such updated information WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY APPLIED to all existing job applications previously submitted by that user. Business Users accessing an application will always see the most recently updated version of the applicant's data.
Users should be aware of this behavior before making any changes to their profile or uploaded documents.
5.3 CONSENT TO DATA SHARING
By applying to any job posting on the Platform, General Users explicitly consent to the sharing of their profile data, CV, and contact information with the relevant Business User, as described in Section 5.1 above.
5.4 WITHDRAWAL OF APPLICATION
General Users may withdraw their job application at any time through their account dashboard. Upon withdrawal, the Business User will be notified. However, any data already accessed or downloaded by the Business User prior to withdrawal may still be retained by them, subject to their own data handling policies. DistrictWork is not responsible for data already viewed or exported by a Business User before withdrawal.
5.5 NO GUARANTEE OF EMPLOYMENT
Submitting a job application through DistrictWork does not guarantee an interview, a job offer, or any form of employment. DistrictWork makes no representations regarding the outcome of any application.
6. BUSINESS USER OBLIGATIONS AND DATA USE RESTRICTIONS
6.1 PERMITTED USE OF APPLICANT DATA
Business Users are granted limited access to applicant data (including CV, contact details, and profile photo) solely for the following purposes:
interview scheduling, or recruitment-related communication
6.2 DATA EXPORT
Business Users are permitted to export applicant data available through the Platform. Such exported data may only be used for recruitment and shortlisting purposes as outlined in Section 6.1.
6.3 STRICTLY PROHIBITED USES
Business Users are STRICTLY PROHIBITED from using any applicant data obtained through DistrictWork for:
application for which the data was shared
unrelated to the applied job position
6.4 REPORTING AND ENFORCEMENT
If multiple General Users report that a Business User is engaging in prohibited promotional or advertising activities, DistrictWork will initiate a formal investigation. If the allegations are substantiated following the investigation, the Business User's account will be permanently banned from the Platform with no option for reinstatement.
DistrictWork commits to conducting a fair and thorough investigation before imposing any permanent ban.
6.5 ACCURACY OF JOB POSTINGS
Business Users are responsible for ensuring that all job listings, descriptions, qualifications, and compensation information published on the Platform are accurate, lawful, and not misleading. Fraudulent or misleading job postings will result in immediate removal and potential account suspension.
6.6 NO FINANCIAL REQUESTS FROM APPLICANTS
Business Users must NOT request, solicit, or collect any form of payment, deposit, or financial consideration from General Users or job applicants at any point during the recruitment process via this Platform.

7. PLATFORM ROLE AND LIMITATIONS
7.1 DistrictWork functions exclusively as an online intermediary and
communication channel connecting job seekers and employers. We are not an employment agency, recruiter, or placement service.
7.2 DistrictWork is NOT responsible for:

7.3 DistrictWork does not verify the credentials, qualifications, or
background of any user, whether General or Business. Users are encouraged to perform their own due diligence.
8. FRAUD PREVENTION AND REPORTING
8.1 DistrictWork has a zero-tolerance policy for fraudulent activity on the
Platform. This includes, but is not limited to:

8.3 DistrictWork reserves the right to remove any content, suspend, or

9. ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY
By using the Platform, you agree NOT to:

10. CONTENT OWNERSHIP AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
10.1 USER CONTENT
Users retain ownership of any content they upload to the Platform, including CVs, profile photos, job descriptions, and other materials. By uploading content, you grant DistrictWork a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, store, display, and distribute such content solely for the purposes of operating the Platform and providing the Services.
10.2 PLATFORM CONTENT
All content created by DistrictWork, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, software, and design elements, is the exclusive intellectual property of DistrictWork and is protected under applicable copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use such content without prior written permission.
10.3 FEEDBACK
Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you submit to DistrictWork regarding the Platform may be used by us freely without any obligation to compensate you or maintain confidentiality.
11. ACCOUNT SUSPENSION AND TERMINATION
11.1 BY USER
You may close your account at any time by contacting us at support@districtwork.com. Upon account deletion, your profile information will be removed from public view; however, certain data may be retained for legal, compliance, or operational purposes as outlined in our Privacy Policy.
11.2 BY DISTRICTWORK
DistrictWork reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or permanently terminate any account, at its sole discretion, without prior notice, if:

12. DISCLAIMERS AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
12.1 THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT
WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
12.2 DISTRICTWORK DOES NOT WARRANT THAT:

BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF EMPLOYMENT, LOSS OF DATA, OR ANY FINANCIAL LOSS.
12.4 IN ANY EVENT, DISTRICTWORK'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU SHALL NOT EXCEED THE
AMOUNT (IF ANY) PAID BY YOU TO DISTRICTWORK IN THE SIX (6) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
13. INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless DistrictWork, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and partners from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services. DistrictWork does not endorse, control, or take responsibility for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party websites. Accessing such links is at your own risk.
15. MODIFICATIONS TO TERMS
DistrictWork reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be communicated by:

16. GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION
16.1 These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws

16.2 Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall first
be attempted to be resolved through amicable negotiation between the parties.
16.3 If resolution cannot be reached informally, the dispute shall be subject
to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in India.
17. FORCE MAJEURE
DistrictWork shall not be held liable for any failure or delay in performance resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, power outages, internet failures, cyberattacks, government actions, or pandemics.
18. SEVERABILITY
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, such provision shall be deemed severed from the remaining Terms, which shall continue in full force and effect.
19. ENTIRE AGREEMENT
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and DistrictWork with respect to your use of the Platform, and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, or representations.
